Round 5 Update
All round 5 matches were completed this week and there is no change in the top 2. Donabate (there is no stopping them) had their 2nd 20 point win in a row, this time against Iona while Victory got back to winning ways after their defeat to Vanessa Timon’s St Anthony team in the last round. Their match against Liz Butler’s Broadmeadow team was the last of the round and they won by 14.92 to 5.08.
The two St Anthony teams and the other Broadmeadow team took advantage of Liz’s team’s slip up, moving ahead of them in the League Table. Vanessa’s team defeated Sportslink 14.43 to 5.57 while Mary Hyne’s St Anthony team defeated Malahide 14.26 to 5.74. Clare O’Neill’s Broadmeadow team jumped into 3rd place after they defeated St Gabriel’s 15.24 to 5.76 and take on the mantel of the best Novice team.
In the battle of the halls the (clever) Foxes had their 1st win of the league defeating the Whites by 15.97 to 4.03.
