Kirwan League Gala Teams Event
24 teams participated in the DNR Kirwan Leagues this year. This was our first time hosting the team matches online where each team got to play 11 matches between last November and now. We are planning one last hurrah for all the teams on next Saturday 21st May at 19.00. The details of the event are as follows:
Date and time: Saturday 21st May at 19.00
Location: BBO Online (Registration from 17.00 on Saturday)
Format: Swiss teams
Entry Fee: This is a free event
Spot Prizes: We will be paying out 10BBO$’s as spot prizes to at least 25% of the players on the night. We will be announcing spot prize winners during each of the rounds and BBO$’s will be put into the winners’ BBO accounts on Sunday 22nd
Who can play: This is open to all the teams that participated in the Kirwan Leagues. If you find that some of your team are unavailable, you are welcome to invite other members from you club to join you. If you want to enter as a pair, just let Dan O’Mahony know, and he will endeavour to team you up with another pair. The key thing is to get as many of you to play on the night!
How do we enter our team: Please advise Dan O’Mahony (087 6824300 danjomahony@gmail.com) of your team (Player’s names and BBO names and the email and contact number of the team captain) before next Friday 20th at 18.00. We need this information by then so that we can set up the game properly on Saturday.
How do we register our team on Saturday 21st: Aidan Synnott will send out instructions on Saturday to the team captains advising them on how to register for the game and Aidan will be available to help you if you have any difficulties when registering.
We really hope to “see” as many of you as possible playing on the night. We will also have an opportunity to really see each other in September when we will host a face to face event where we will present the cups to the winning teams and maybe even have a game of bridge.
